The Chicago Public Schools’ Battle of the Books program encourages ongoing reading, teamwork and partnership throughout the course of a year.

Participation in the Battle of the Books program promotes greater depth and breadth of student reading, encourages cooperation, teamwork, reading motivation and accomplishment. Everyone’s a winner in the Battle of the Books! Programs runs into April, with a chance at a city wide Competition in May.

Program Begins:

November 10th, Students meet every Monday
