Hi! My name is Sofia Daly. I am a proud, bilingual, Mexican-American school counselor. I grew up in Little Village where my love of people and empathy for human hardship made me aware that education and mental health are social justice issues. For these reasons, I became a History teacher to English Language Learners and then a school counselor. I love to help and volunteer, including coaching my kids’ sports, preparing or distributing meals for Housing Forward and raising awareness about mental health. For my “me time” I love to wake up to cycling on my Peloton to some good music to pump me up for the day, and going to bed watching a sitcom so I can finish the day laughing. I love people and getting to know them. Music, laughter, sports and doing a good deed feeds my soul. Some of my heroes are Martin Luther King Jr., Frida Kahlo, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Abraham Lincoln. I look forward to a great partnership with you this year.
