Book Report – the book float report will be due on May 11th. Directions/rubrics were passed out 4/28/15.

Humanities: We are beginning out journey into the Holocaust. We will be spending some time learning and asking ourselves how man’s inhumanity towards man affects people over time. We will be reading and working from the Holocaust Teaching Trunk which is borrowed from the museum for the next 4 weeks. The material will be rough but I will not be teaching the grim and gruesome.  We will talk about how it felt to be there in that time, what would you do if it was you, being an upstander, being a bystander and was that always a bad situation. There will be a project but it will require no shopping of “stuff”. More information to  follow. The children drive the instruction with their very thoughtful and provocative questions and responses.

Current Events: spiral is due June 5th with 8 articles.
