8th Grade Parents and Students

I know students are excited about their final year at Thorp.  The application process to high schools can be overwhelming.  I know you are anxious about the application process.  Hang tight!  The application period for the 2012-2013 school year officially begins on October 1st.  You will be able to identify the schools and programs where you want to apply and immediately submit your application online.  This link will help you begin researching today:  http://www.cpsoae.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=72696&type=d

For more information on the entire selective enrollment process please click : (The Selective Enrollment Process) or you can click here: (Choose Your Future) for High School and College planning resources that CPS has provided.

There will be a Mini High School Fair in the fall where we will be sending home individual packets of information regarding the application process.  Parents and students also have the opportunity to make an appointment with the Counseling Office to fill out applications.  Stay tuned for the location, date, and time of the Fair.

Remember, the application deadline for all high schools is December 16th!   Looking forward to working with all of you and your journey ahead!

Thank you,
L. Leibovich
